D.I.Y. Multiphysics Interpretation

Head back to your Uni days with a practical class taking a deep dive into the simultaneous modelling of different geophysical methods (e.g., seismic, gravity, magnetics). Participants will receive an introduction to “multiphysics” and suitable modelling software, then asked to focus on one of several case studies from either mining or oil and gas exploration. After installing the software and loading relevant data, you will be guided in building an integrated geophysical model.

The outcomes are up to you, but hopefully we shall elicit a range of plausible interpretation scenarios for each exploration objective. Participants will be encouraged to share their findings with the group and to reflect on the value of using complementary and co-located geophysical methods.
