NMR: The missing link in hydrogeology that connects other data sets to water in the ground

Are you working on tailings dams, Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR), brine systems, regolith hosted mineralisation where grain size matters? Nowadays explorers are not just concerned with finding mineralisation, but need to know about the water as well.

Every geoscientist who works with groundwater needs to understand borehole, as well as surface-based NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) techniques that allow users to directly measure the hydrological properties that control groundwater location and affect groundwater movement. This workshop will connect the theoretical background underlying NMR-based technologies to the collection and interpretation of both surface and borehole NMR data sets. New developments in the field will be discussed, as well as a number of case studies both from the US and Australia.
